Connection string

To select a different configuration database or to create a new one:
- Click CHANGE. A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click YES. The Configuration Database page appears.
- Click options or type values using the descriptions in the table in Creating the configuration database.

Server Name
|
To connect Meridian Enterprise Server to a different server:
- Click CHANGE. A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click YES. The Server configuration page appears.
- Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Server configuration options
Computer
|
Type the Meridian Enterprise Server server name in one of the following formats:
- Simple name (MyServer)
- Fully qualified domain name (MyServer.MyDomain)
- IP address (127.0.0.1, localhost)

Port
|
Type the port number that Meridian Enterprise Server is configured for. The default is 8686.
|
UPN
|
Type the User Principle Name with which to connect to the server, for example, MyServer\Administrator or administrator@MyServer.
|
- In the app bar, click CONNECT. A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click OK. Meridian Enterprise Server reloads connected to the specified server.

To join another Meridian Enterprise Server server with the current server in a cluster:
- Click ADD NODE. The REGISTER NODE dialog box appears.
- Click options or type values using the descriptions in the preceding table.
- Click REGISTER. The name of the server is added to the node list. The new node can now be selected for publishing jobs as described in Configuring a publishing job.

Meridian 360 tenancy
|
The name of the Meridian360 tenancy to which to connect for the exchange of packages.
To connect to a different tenancy:
- Click CHANGE. The Meridian360 page appears.
- Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

Package scanning interval
|
The interval in minutes to scan for new packages. The default is 5 minutes.
|
Sub-domain
|
The name of your tenancy (company) at meridian360.com.
|
User name
|
The account name with access to the Meridian360 API with which to connect to Meridian360.
Note
This is the special Meridian user account that can only be used by Meridian Enterprise Server to communicate with Meridian360.
The ways in which the Meridian user account is different from normal user accounts are:
- The account and its password can only be created by BlueCielo ECM Solutions and once created, the account cannot be deleted.
- It is the only account that can be assigned the Meridian security role in Meridian360 that is necessary to communicate with Meridian Enterprise. The role does not grant privileges to the account to work interactively in Meridian360. Once assigned, the role cannot be revoked.

Password
|
Password for the account specified in User name.

Proxy address
|
URL (including optional port number) of the proxy server to use to connect to Meridian360.

Proxy user name
|
User account with permission to connect to the proxy server.

Proxy user password
|
Password for the account specified in Proxy user name. |

Packages
|
The number of packages sent from Meridian360 that have not yet been imported to the Meridian Enterprise vault by Meridian Enterprise Server. To refresh the package count, click UPDATE. To view the available packages, click VIEW.
